The Deeper Meaning Behind Qurban: Lessons of Sacrifice

Qurban isn’t just about sacrificing an animal—it’s about submitting our hearts to Allah.

When Prophet Ibrahim (AS) was willing to sacrifice his son, it showed the highest form of obedience. Allah says:
"Indeed, this was a clear trial."
(Qur'an, 37:106)

Sacrifice teaches us:

Obedience: Putting Allah’s command above our desires.

Charity: Helping the less fortunate.

Gratitude: Thanking Allah for His blessings.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
"It is the Sunnah of your father Ibrahim."
(Ibn Majah, 3127)

Every cut of meat reminds us that faith demands action. It’s a time to purify ourselves, reflect on our priorities, and renew our devotion to Allah. Through Qurban, we revive the legacy of submission and compassion.
