The Virtues of the First Ten Days of Dhul-Hijjah

The first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are the best days of the year in the sight of Allah. Good deeds performed during these days are greatly rewarded.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
"There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days."
(Bukhari, 969)

During these days, Muslims are encouraged to fast, give charity, perform dhikr (remembrance of Allah), offer sacrifices (Qurban), and pray. Fasting the first nine days, particularly on the Day of Arafah, brings immense rewards.

Allah swears by these days in the Qur'an:
"By the dawn and by the ten nights."
(Qur'an, 89:1-2)

Maximizing these days through acts of worship strengthens one’s relationship with Allah. It’s an opportunity to renew faith, seek forgiveness, and earn Allah’s immense rewards before the celebrations of Eid al-Adha.
