This year the Sadaqa Welfare Fund Team will be working closely on the ground making sure your Qurban/Udhiya 2024 is delivered to those most in need. We will be focusing on helping orphans, widows, refugees and those displaced from their homes.

Qurban also referred to as “Udhiyah” or “Qurbani” is an Abrahamic ritual in Islam when Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) saw a dream in which Allah SWT commanded him to sacrifice his only son Ishmael (Ismail). However, before the slaughter was carried out Ishmael was replaced with an animal for slaughter.
Muslims perform the sacrifice yearly about two and a half months after Ramadan, on the day of Eid Al-Adha. During Eid Al-Adha millions of Muslims perform Hajj (Pilgrimage) and partake in many Abrahamic rituals including slaughtering animals as a Qurban.
Muslims who do not perform Hajj can still partake in this highly rewarded act.
Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you, and give good tidings to the doers of good.” (Quran 22:37)
To pay for your Qurban online you may visit our page here and make an online donation towards the Udhiyah (animals and quantity) of your choice.
A person can offer the Qurban donation overseas to countries in need like Bangladesh, Lebanon, Nigeria, Pakistan, Rohingya, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Turkiye & Yemen.

The following animals can be used for Qurban slaughter: goats, sheep, cattle and camels.
And the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols [i.e., rites] of Allah; for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allah upon them when lined up [for sacrifice]; and when they are [lifeless] on their sides, then eat from them and feed the needy [who does not seek aid] and the beggar. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may be grateful. (Quran 22:36)
Our field team maintains and ensures all these steps are carried out correctly in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah.
The amount of meat distributed to families and children in need can vary between 2kg to 4kg per family.
The animal is slaughtered and the meat is cut and immediately distributed fresh to the poor and needy on the day of Eid Al-Adha in the countries most needed: Bangladesh, Lebanon, Nigeria, Pakistan, Rohingya, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Turkiye & Yemen.
Slaughtering is performed during the days of Tashreeq, which is the: 10th of Dhul Hijjah (Eid Al-Adha). The Qurban animals Cows, Goats, Camel and Sheep will be slaughtered latest by the second day of Eid Al-Adha.
We would appreciate that payment is made at least 7 to 10 days before the day of Eid Qurban to grant us enough time to organise your Qurban donation effectively.
It is also important to note that there are limited amounts of Qurbani in each country therefore, the earlier the payment the better it is. We then will organise your Qurban donation before Eid al Adha accordingly.
All adult Muslim male and females who have sufficient wealth and qualify to pay Zakat should donate at least one Qurban(slaughter an animal) according to their budget.
