The Muslim Community Hub Quakers Hill

In December 1921, a small church was established. Decades later, in 2011 this historic site was purchased by Al-Barakah Welfare Trust Australia, marking the beginning of a shared vision: uniting the Muslim community and serving the needs of five surrounding suburbs with a combined Muslim population of approximately 30,000.

Initially, the Masjid offered only the five daily prayers. Today, Alhamdulillah, it has grown into a vibrant hub of activity with programs running throughout the week. Quakers Hill Masjid is a self-sustaining organisation that caters to the religious, educational, and cultural needs of Muslims living in this area since its inception in 2007-08. Our current regular programs include:

• Arabic school for children of various age groups 
• Running regular Ladies Program, Youth Program
• Various weekly classes such as Fiqh, Quran, Arabic for adults, Hadith, Friday Night Lectures
• Organizing annual Masjid Open Days to foster interfaith dialogue and enhance community interaction and harmony 
• Various charitable activities locally and internationally. In 2023-24 We collected $222,044 and distributed either directly or through various charitable organisations

However, due to heritage restrictions placed on the premises by the local council, further expansion of the site is not possible. As our community continues to grow, so do our aspirations. We are thrilled to announce an exciting new initiative: “The Muslim Community Hub”. This hub will be much more than a mosque—it will be a centre of faith, education, and unity. It will serve as a sanctuary for spiritual growth, a place for meaningful connections, and a cornerstone for nurturing the future generations of our ummah. Together, as one ummah, let us create a legacy that will endure beyond our time, enriching the lives of our children, their children, and generations to come.

We envision a multi-storey Community Hub with facilities for:

Masjid with a Dedicated Sisters' Area: Accommodates approximately 300 to 400 worshippers for five daily prayers, Jumu'ah, and Eid congregations, with ample parking facilities.

Dawah Centre

A specialized centre focused on external Dawah and educating new Muslims about Islam.

Educational Facilities for Islamic Studies

Offers weekday and weekend Islamic studies programs for children, men, and women across various age groups.

Multi-Purpose Hall for Events

A community hub designed to host social gatherings, Islamic seminars, workshops, and other community events.

Indoor and Outdoor Youth Facilities

Providing a supportive, Islamic environment to instil Islamic values in youth and nurture future leaders of the Ummah.

Islamic Library

Encourages and develop reading habits while promoting in-depth Islamic knowledge and understanding.
