Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries in the world, with millions of people living below the poverty line. Many families survive on daily labour, leaving them vulnerable to illness, injury, and long-term hardship.
Due to malnutrition, lack of healthcare, and frequent road accidents, thousands of people become physically disabled each year. In many cases, the disabled person was the only income earner for the family.
For poor families, a wheelchair is not a convenience. It is a lifeline.
Without one, disabled men, women, and children are often confined to their beds, unable to work, attend school, or participate in daily life. Entire families are pushed into deeper poverty and dependency simply because mobility is taken away.
Due to financial hardship, most families cannot afford a wheelchair, leaving loved ones trapped and isolated.
Sadaqa Welfare Fund provides new wheelchairs to physically disabled individuals in the poorest communities across Bangladesh. These wheelchairs restore independence and allow recipients to move freely, regain dignity, and re-engage with life.
A single wheelchair can mean:
An adult returning to work
A child going back to school
A family regaining stability and hope
Providing a wheelchair is an ongoing act of Sadaqa Jariyah. The benefit continues every day the recipient moves, works, learns, and lives with dignity.
Support the Wheelchair Project in Bangladesh and help give the gift of mobility, independence, and hope.
