Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet said, “Provide drinking water.”

At Sadaqa Welfare Fund we want to ensure that all our Muslim brothers and sisters have access to clean drinking water. 

Our teams around the world are working tirelessly with teams of engineers to ensure that our water wells are dug deep up to 200 meters deep to access clean water, feeding on the deep-water veins and that there is no cross-contamination with the sewage water. 

In some countries like Bangladesh, there is a natural chemical, called arsenic, that is found in water that causes diseases and in severe cases causes mortality. Therefore, our team ensures that the water wells we build have proper filtration systems in place so that our Water Wells are iron, saline & Arsenic-free.

We also build Water Stations which dig even deeper than deep wells up to 550 meters deep. All our Water Stations are solar-powered. Water Stations are usually built for larger communities where it becomes a town’s main source of clean water, due to the abundance availability of water. Water Stations also provide Water Tankers to be filled and deliver water to remote and hard-to-reach communities with regular deliveries to Refugee Camps, Towns & Villages.

Sadaqa Welfare Fund is also one of the few organisations that provide ongoing maintenance for all water wells and water stations that we build. Every Year we send our teams to service key components like filters, piping, electrical, pumps & generators for these water stations and wells to continue serving clean water to many communities in the countries of need.

To provide the gift of clean water to those in dire need in Yemen, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nigeria, Gaza, Pakistan, Rohingya & Lebanon.
