The Holland Park Masjid, established in 1908 by Afghan cameleers, is the oldest masjid on Australia’s East Coast and has remained open for over a century.

As a cornerstone of Brisbane’s Muslim community, dubbed as the “Mother Mosque”, this historic mosque stands as a testament to the deep-rooted presence of Muslims in Australia. Serving as a spiritual and community hub, it provides a welcoming, inclusive, well-resourced sophisticated, and peaceful space for worship, education, and support. Holland Park Masjid continues to uphold its legacy while addressing the evolving needs of a growing community.
