A devastating 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan near Jalalabad on August 31, causing catastrophic destruction across Kunar and Nangarhar provinces. Over 1,400 lives have been lost, with more than 3,700 people injured, and thousands of mud-brick homes demolished—leaving communities crushed, displaced, and without shelter.

Sadaqa Welfare Fund’s team is on the ground in Afghanistan, assessing the situation and delivering urgent emergency relief to survivors. Families urgently need food, shelter, and medical support as they face the aftermath of this disaster.
