Challenge 313 is inspired by the companions of the Battle of Badr who sacrificed everything to protect the future of Islam. 313 was the number of the companions who participated in the Battle of Badr.
The Battle of Badr
The battle of Badr was one of the most significant battles in the history of Islam, as it protected Islam and established it as a religion for the rest of time. The Battle of Badr took place during the month of Ramadan, two years after the Prophet’s (PBUH) migration to Madinah. There were 313 companions who participated in the Battle of Badr and they were outnumbered facing almost a 1000 of the people of Quraysh who were well-equipped unlike the Prophet (PBUH) and His companions. Allah sent down 5000 angels to support the Prophet(PBUH) and his companions and they were able to defeat the army of Quraysh.
