Al Kawthar Water Station located in the Madrasatul Valley of Maarib, Yemen needs your generous donation for the construction of a 150-metre-deep water station to provide water for locals and refugees in the area.
There are 1,500 refugees and 5,000 locals in the village who will utilise the water station which will be built in proximity to both a school and a masjid. Run by electricity, the station will provide residents with two 5,000 litre tanks of fresh, clean drinking water and will have 15 taps installed.
Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet SAW said, “A drink of water.”
